CA Course:
CA Examination is a professional exam conducted by ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India). It is conducted in three stages:
i. CA Foundation
ii. CA Intermediate
iii. CA Final
3 year training under a practicing Chartered Accountant is necessary after qualifying CA Intermediate exams to appear the CA Final Examinations.
CA Foundations (Procedure):
(i) Enrol for the Foundation Course after passing Class 10th Examination conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto.
(ii) Register for the Foundation Course on or before the 1st day of January or the 1st day of July for the examination to be held in the months of May/June or November/December respectively.
(iii) Appear in Foundation Examination after appearing in the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 examination) conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognised by the Central Government as equivalent thereto and on complying with (ii) above.
CA Foundation Exam Dates: May & November
Starts around 1st Week of May
Starts 1st Week of November
4 Exams – with 1 day gap for each exam
Registration dates:
On or before 1st January – for May Exams
On or before 1st July – for November Exams CA Foundation Registration Fess is Rs. 9000 (Rs. 200 is cost of prospectus)

Passing Criteria:
50% in aggregate & 40% in each subject
Note: If a student fails in one subject, then he fails in all the subjects, there is no concept of exemption in CA Foundations, hence all the subjects must be reappeared.
After Qualifying CA Foundations Next step is to register for CA Intermediate Examinations.
