CUET SYLLABUS FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE

In this writing we will mention about section 1 of CUET exam paper I;e 

Language ( English)

Why Language test is accomplished in any competitive exams? 

The learners' command in the language is to be assessed through problems asked in Reading Comprehension (founded on several species of passages ,Literary and Narrative.

This is the initial segment in the CUET Exam 2022. The topics in this section will assess one’s knowledge in the language .

Problems from the Language Section will be from the mentioned themes but are not restricted to: 

1. Reading Comprehension: There will be 3 types of paragraphs 

(maximum 300-400 words) 

In the comprehension category, you will be examined on your knowledge of a paragraph and its prominent composition, significances of phrases used therein, etc. 

i. Factual 

The grammar sector encompasses rectifying grammatically inaccurate paragraphs, compressing blanks in paragraphs with applicable phrases. 

ii. Narrative 

This concept experiment and enhance your proficiency of Narrative Writing Strategies and preparing paragraphs. 

iii. Literary

A literacy test evaluates an individual's literacy mastery and their proficiency to read and write . 

2. Verbal Ability 

It includes different categories of problems which are planned to referee proficiency in word strength, sentence improvement, finding errors and verbal perception. 

3. Rearranging the parts 

Rearrangement of sentences. 

4. Selecting the correct word 

In this issue you have to select the applicable word from the provided alternative. 

5. Synonyms and Antonyms 

Questions on synonyms & antonyms will examine one’s influence of English terminology.

6. Vocabulary

It will be strongly pertained to ranges of the students' reading understanding proficiency.

Frequently asked questions

How many questions will be asked from language section and time duration?

There will be 50 problems out of which 40 problems need to be undertaken and 45 minutes is allocated for language section. 

Can a nominee submit two application documents for two programs at a time?

Nominee as per eligibility can pertain for multiple programs, however, nominees shall not pertain for a copy or numerous aspects of the same lesson, which may oversee to the revocation of all his/her application aspects. 

Is it feasible to take the exam on any computer? 

No, nominees have to occur at the CUCET exam centers 2022 for the inspection. If they neglect to do so, their application will be dismissed.
